i am thrilled to apply for the assistant director of exhibitions position at LACMA. with over 20 years of experience managing complex projects, i bring a deep understanding of exhibition planning, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration. my background includes developing long-term strategies for creative projects while leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. view my portfolio of exhibitions i've planned and coordinated by looking around this site.

a recent example of my work to highlight is petrichor, a 16,000-square-foot art installation i produced and managed this june, filling a a former factory space with living green grass for 3 days. this project involved developing and maintaining the exhibition schedule and budget under an accelerated timeline and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including building owners, volunteers, press, and community participants. i secured contracts, managed staff and volunteers, and developed a marketing strategy that resulted in two sold-out community events during the exhibition, which saw over 1000 visitors.

for the past nine years in my role as an installation artist, i have acted as both creative director and project manager, owning the full scope of my projects: supervising team workflows, establishing and monitoring budgetary scope, managing stakeholder communication, and aligning timelines with exhibition goals to deliver a seamless and engaging experience.
